Official Teasers for the Oppo Watch 4 Pro Reveal Key Specifications; LTPO AMOLED Display and 2GB RAM Confirmed

Later this month, Oppo could release the Watch 4 Pro alongside the Find N3 foldables.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor will power the Oppo Watch 4 Pro.
  • Because of the additional capacity, the Oppo Watch 4 Pro will provide speedier app startup times.
  • Temperature and ECG sensors will be available on the Oppo Watch.

Oppo’s next-generation foldables, the Find N3 and Find N3 Flip, are widely expected to be unveiled later this month, but they may not be the only announcements. It may possibly reveal the Oppo Watch, the company’s latest wearable. The release date has yet to be announced, but the corporation has begun to share official teasers. Many of the main specs of the future wearable have been confirmed by these teasers.

Key Specs of the Oppo Watch 4 Pro Have Been Confirmed

Oppo has released official Watch 4 Pro teasers on its Weibo account. The first teaser confirms that the new smartwatch will be powered by twin chipsets. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor and the BES 2700 coprocessor. This is the same approach we saw with the Oppo Watch 3 series last year.

The Oppo Watch has been confirmed to have 2GB of RAM. This is twice as much memory as the predecessors. The startup promises much faster app launch times and a transfer rate of up to 4.2GB/s. If this is right, it will be a useful feature for users in a variety of circumstances. For example, toggling between music and training applications when at the gym.

The next-generation smartwatch will have an LTPO AMOLED display. The display size is unknown, but it will feature full-color Always On Display (AOD). It means that users will no longer have to wake up the complete display to examine details such as time, temperature, number of steps taken, heartbeat, and so on.

According to Oppo, its next smartwatch will be loaded with high-precision sensors. An 8-channel heart rate sensor, a 16-channel blood oxygen (SpO2) sensor, a wrist temperature sensor, and an ECG sensor will be included. More than 85 ready-to-use independent applications are also being teased by the corporation. These apps do not appear to be dependent on a constant smartphone connection to function.
