The iPhone 15 is expected to include color-matched USB Type-C cables, and the release of the iPhone 15 Pro Max may be delayed.

This year, the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to include a USB Type-C connection, which will replace the company’s proprietary Lightning port. Recently, rumor has it that the plain iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus would come with color-matched braided USB Type-C cables. Renders of the rumored USB Type-C cables have also surfaced on the internet. The iPhone 15 series is slated to become available on September 12. However, due to manufacturing challenges, Apple is reportedly delaying the debut of the iPhone Max variant until October.

According to Majin Bu on X, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will arrive with braided USB Type-C cords that compliment the phone’s colors. In addition, Kosutami, an Apple device prototype collector, shared design validation test (DVT) samples of the USB Type-C cables. These cable colors may correspond to one of the iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Plus color options.

Except for the black model, all cables feature a shiny white plastic cover at the end. Unlike earlier Apple cables, these new braided USB Type-C cables have tubes for increased endurance.

Meanwhile, Apple is anticipated to unveil the iPhone 15 series on Tuesday, September 12. Pre-orders for the new models are slated to begin on September 22. The iPhone Max, also known as the iPhone 15 Ultra, may be delayed by a few weeks.

According to 9to5mac, iPhone 15 Pro Max debut could be pushed out to October. Based on this, Max may be delivered between October 6 and October 13.
