  • The Smart Band 8 Pro is set to be on sale next week.

Xiaomi’s Smart Bands have long been known for being low-cost fitness trackers with a decent set of functions. The Smart Band 7 Pro adopted an Apple Watch-style appearance thanks to its large screen last year, and the Chinese manufacturer is increasing the ante with the Smart Band 8 Pro.

Xiaomi showcased the Smart Band 8 Pro design and functionality on its Weibo account today (h/t: NotebookCheck), indicating that the company is once again leaning into the Apple Watch-style design. That means, you will receive a rectangular watch display with polished edges.

According to Xiaomi, the Smart Band 8 Pro has a 1.74-inch display with 336 pixels per square inch. That makes it slightly larger than the screen on the predecessor and slightly smaller than the screen on the Apple Watch Series 8.

Aside from widget compatibility and the option to set wallpapers from your photo album, the Chinese maker has announced a few features ahead of the wearable’s release. In the case of the former, we can create widgets for heart-rate monitoring, media playback, step counting, and weather information – Xiaomi’s upcoming Apple Watch

In any case, Xiaomi will officially debut the Smart Band 8 Pro alongside the Mix Fold 3 on August 14 in China. However, there is no indication on global availability or pricing for either product as of yet. However, we believe the new fitness tracker will cost around $120 when it is released, similar to its predecessor.
